ESET offers a variety of plans for Windows, macOS, Android and Linux. The plans include a no-cost one that is great for basic security, and the more expensive options come with features like password management and parental controls and data encryption. The most expensive plan includes a gaming mode that will prevent unauthorized access to your computer’s hardware while you play.

The software doesn’t take long to install and the setup is simple. It doesn’t overwhelm your computer with bloatware, also. There are a few additional settings to fiddle with however, the majority of tools and features are clearly identified on the left-hand sidebar.

A new feature called Connected Home Monitor provides an excellent visual representation of your network as well as all devices connected to it. You can also use it to identify vulnerabilities such as open ports and weak router passwords.

A pop-up will appear each when you insert a USB device. You can scan the drive instantly or set it up to scan on a regular basis. If you don’t want to scan the entire drive, you can run an on-demand scan.

Advanced users will appreciate being able to control how and what much of the suite is checked. You can define the number of folders, files and other items that the program will check. You can even specify the depth at which the program should go through archives, if you look at here now want to omit certain kinds of files from the initial scan.
